Are the numbers of hits consisitent across search engines? if not, what do you think accounts for the differences? After looking at each of the search engines above, in what cases would you use a search engine that is not your current default? The numbers are not consistent. I think using quotation marks has the search engine look for the phrase used on websites versus actually searching for websites that are geared towards actually building web pages. i think that surely affects the outputs. I would use a different search engine outsode of google depending on what kind of research I'm doing.

Learning about how search engines work, it makes me realize how precise you have to be when using a search engine to recieve your desired resutls. It also made me more aware of the multimedia that I obtain from the internet and a safer way to look for it and use it.
